Some ideas to consider, think about, and practice

The Problem
It is important to be trustworthy. Where this matters a lot, is in a persons virtues. A person that is trustworthy in their virtues is a person to be respected, honored, and dignified.
Solutions
Live a good life, that you have people’s trust that your virtues are non-negotioable. This makes life good, and while balance is an important factor, you have to be really on the mark with how you live your life.
Virtues can be found here with this link, and really the most important of them, can all be found in the bible. The Buddhist have some good things to say about these things as well.
Practice making your virtues strong, and don’t break peoples trust in your virtues. Because once trust is gone, your life will suck. Seems, mental illness is a death sentence, because people can not trust you, even when you are being good. That causes a lack of honor, trust, and dignity.
Seems things go in stages, and some stages should not be ever repeated. You have to learn the lessons from others, because life is too painful to learn all the mistakes on your own.
Seven Virtues
Humility, Kindness, Temperance, Chastity, Patience, Charity, Diligence.
Know them, understand everything you can about them, follow them. Do your homework on them, and practice them in your daily life. Use them well, and keep being balanced in doing what is good, right, and true.
This will make your life better, and help others in their lives too. It matters, because you don’t want to end up being on the wrong side of these. Balance matters, and you don’t want life to be a living death, while still being blameless.
So have some fun, but keep your virtue about yourself. It matters. Once the trust is broken, things are all bad, and life sucks. Seems, even if you do your work to make amends, the balance isn’t as good ever again. So be kind, do what is right and true, and make life better for everyone.
Don’t deal with people that bring you down.
