Pro’s & Cons Of Arranged Marriage!
Something to consider. . . For mortals!

The Problem:
Everyone wants to marry for love. Seems to marry someone out of duty, puts a person off. The other side of this coin, if you are undesirable, your chances of getting married, are zero. The edge of the coin, is that if you stay single, life has fewer problems, of both sides of the coin.
A Short Life
For an immortal, sixty, or seventy years is a short time. That is some people’s whole lives. And some people choose to get married. Sometimes, out of duty, sometimes for love. In some ways, which ever you find yourself doing, you will have both joy, and sorrow.
The Marriage Institution
Seems, marriage is an institution. And for good reason. There are some real benefits to it. Never having been married, I’m not able to say what those benefits are. I’ve studied those around me, and it looks like there are some benefits to being married.
This article is about the pro’s and cons of arranged marriage. So really, if people don’t marry because of love, you could wind up with someone that hates you. And you're stuck with them, like glue. Until you die.
The Pro’s
If you are mortal. Having an arranged marriage, could be good in some ways. This avoids some of the problems we see in today’s society that most people choose not to choose much of anyone but men that are tall, or rich.
Some of those problems could be avoided. Because they would be arranged for them, and they wouldn’t have any choice in the matter. Then they are a product of the institution. This may have some good results.
The pros of it is, that everyone could have an arranged marriage, and most people could enjoy the benefits of being married. That is good in some ways. Hey, I have an idea. What if arranged marriages were starter packages? With the option to renew the vows if they choose to. Yet for mortals, they are limited to the lifetime.
Cons
If you are mortal, and have your own ideas of who you want to marry, and someone else actually wants you enough to marry you, an arranged marriage would be like a death sentence. If you were immortal, could you stand for that kind of experience? Could you? Would you? Why?
For mortals, the arranged marriage would be for their lifetime. So the only way out would be for one of you to die. Not pleasant. Maybe, people should live shorter lives in these modern world?
For an immortal, an arranged marriage, would be something. I can see both good sides, and problems with it. Really, I have to ask if they arranged my life, this life, so I would arrive at these conclusions? Did they? What is true?
Sides Of A Coin
The edge. From what I can tell, I’m not desirable enough for anyone to want me. This hurts my feelings, and makes me feel like crap. No one wanted me. So in some ways, had there been an arranged marriage, it would have saved me from feeling so totally rejected, and hurt.
The Tails. My life is nearly over, and my body no longer works. At this point in my life, dying is more desirable than marriage. In this mortal shell; that is good and bad. However, of one thing I can be sure, memento mori. Remember you will die. I Hope this life, becomes much shorter. I want some new wet wear, and a new life. One, that hopefully is better, with the prospect of having someone that loves me enough to marry me.
The Heads. It seems, unless there is something I’m not aware of, there is no arranged marriage for me. At the same time, I could wake up from this nightmare, and realize, both that I’m immortal, and have a wife I love very much. This was a vacation, and I will be happy to wake up.
Conclusion
Living like humans, for sixty, or eighty years, could be good for immortals. Because you could live and have many experiences, and marry quite a few people in a thousand years, and you could really have some fun.
