The Problem:

The realization of value. What has value to you? There is little solace in finding out; far too late. You want to know, and find out early. The real truth, will shock you.

Some Thoughts

The days are very long, and they start at noon. However, the nights seem twice as lonely, and five times longer. Which is strange, because time seems to go faster when the sun sets. Yet, the nights are a cruel mistress.

There is some solace to be had, in listening to sad french music that you can not understand, nor make sense of. Some sad tune, that matches my moods of not knowing, how this will end. Seems, that shipwreck is certain.

The problem with that is thus: “It matters to me where I land.” Want to find some shore, that is a safe place to land. Sometimes, in foreign lands, people are welcomed, and sometimes; they are hung. Depends upon local customs. And, how different people are in different lands. They do say: “When in Rome, do as the Romans.”

It feels like I’m from some other world. This world, doesn’t make a lot of sense to me. A lot like the sad french music I’m listening to, it seems like it might have a nice melody; but what is she really singing about? Is it happy music, or sad music? Not knowing, would bother a thinking person. I’ve been thinking, and the problem, bothers me.

There are many things, that would bother a thinking person in this world. It is wise however, to pick your battles; carefully.

The real point of this article was about what you value. Do you value yourself enough? Did you grow up, thinking everyone was better than you? Did you look on the human race, as some great and wonderful prospect, and see yourself as never being able to reach such status?

And even where you sit now, you don’t see yourself as much. Now! Listen carefully. They can never be you. This is a very important thing to understand. No matter how great, or wonderful you see them, no matter how many times, they have put you down, or told you that you’re not good enough; the truth of the matter is: “They can never be you.”

You in yourself, are likely wonderful, and have more in you than any of them. Even when you're down and out, lonely and tired. Even hurting, and waiting for death; they likely don’t have what you do.

People that know the truth, seldom let the real truth out. Once you know, you won’t look at them the same way again. Sure, they all have some good points about them. And, if you look for the good in everyone, you will likely find some good in all of them. The point to keep in mind is this: No matter how great they seem, or feel; they can never be you. And a person should know their value. A real person, that can think, listen, and care; is more valuable than a thousand people that can follow the herd. Just see what resistance you find, in going against the grain. It takes some real grit.

Take the approach, of finding ways to make win / win situations. Where, no one has to loose. You might not now understand; however, if you think about it, for a while: Maybe, the light will come on. Wake up.

And now, to change the music to something else. Maybe, something that doesn’t sound so sad, and isn’t so confusing. Where there is more certainty, there is less confusion. Accurate knowledge leads to better choices.

The tune still sounds sad, but this time, I want to be sure of what I’m hearing. Still, this album has a sad french song in it. There will always be a point, that in this world, things seem confusing, and uncertain. Understand that, and you can think your way out of it. Look them lyrics up.

Still, when you know the truth; don’t put anyone down. Look for win / win solutions. There are answers, if you know where to look. Staying alive. Pick your battles, carefully. Know when to walk away, know when to run.
