Stop Lurking — Start Creating
The modern day problems
The Problem:
Might be wrong about this; however, there is reason to believe there is a trend that goes something like this:
scroll, judge, hate. scroll, judge, hate. scroll, judge, hate.
On endless scroll, people keep repeating the same mistakes, and what they are learning, isn’t really good for society, or people in general. I think they are learning some very bad habits.
Ways To Break Free From It
Start doing something creative. You have to put forth some effort. Even if people don’t like what you do, what you make, or don’t respond to you, it is better to be doing something better with your time. You might find, those people that you felt some sense of hate for, had put forth a lot of effort.
You might just find out, what a tough job it is. And maybe, you will have some respect for what others are doing with their lives, if you understand how much effort, and work is involved in doing some of these things.
Want To Know More?
Try interacting with people. See what kinds of results you get from your efforts. It might be worth a try, you might find it very educational. You never know, until you actually give it a shot.
Pick someone that is doing good work, and try talking with them. See if they respond to you. At least try giving them a complement. Those are often welcome, and won’t be seen as being too forward, or out of line.
Work On It
Do try, to put some beauty back into life. Don’t work out hate, or hateful things. Try to make life better for others. There is a saying:
Try to make life, cool for someone else.
Do something to try and make other people’s lives better. That might mean that you have to dish out some compliments. You shouldn’t be so proud, that your not able to give people a compliment. It might be very welcome. Try leaving a message, rather than just a like. Interaction goes a long ways. When people are willing to interact with you. They don’t always respond, that doesn’t mean you quit trying.
We want life better for everyone. Do what you can to make life cool for other people. You know? It’s not too much to ask for. Be kind, be honest, and people will like that.
Do This Instead
Next time you get into scrolling, try feeling some love. If the content you are looking at, doesn’t make you feel love, deep down inside; then its not really good content. You should run the content you are looking at through a filter, and ask yourself if the content makes you feel love, or hate?
You will feel better, when you feel things that give you a sense of love. The world, needs a lot less hate, and whole lot more of the love going around.
Try to produce content that makes people feel love and loved. Next time you start hating on someone, ask yourself if you could do better given the same conditions?
