Backstory

There was once a man, and mark my words; he was not ordinary. Very few knew the ways or means that he was able to make happen. Without giving away confidential information; lets say that the man lived a hundred lives. Let’s just suppose that it was a hundred. The actual number of lives he lived, should remain a secret.

In the span of those lives; he did some things that were really pretty magical. No one would believe; that he was all the same person. Even to this day; no one knows for certain, all the lives that he lived and died.

You can see his accomplishments today. The impact his life had on the world that we know today. In the span of those hundred lives; he changed the world. Well, we won’t go into what he accomplished; because frankly the world today; is a mess.

The Irony

The man was made to forget everything that he had ever done. He was reborn into the world; and was held hostage in his own world. He was treated like a stranger; and made to feel foreign, in his own world.

They built him up just enough; that when he fell from high; he was reduced to being a peasant in the world. And, made to feel like a stranger in the world. No one knew who he was; or what he had done. People liked who he had been, but this new person was a total stranger to everyone in the world. He lived to see his accomplishments; and have people tear down the work he had done without knowing that it was his work.

It is interesting to see how things have played out. Being made to feel hated, and not wanted for who is now. In the event, they had known who he really had been, they would have shown his some respect; and maybe loved him. They definitely wouldn’t have treated him like worthless shit.

It is ironic. A man that was once loved, respected, and accomplished; brought very low in life, and forced to watch his past lives be criticized, and told that his work sucks; even when he didn’t know it was his work.

The powers that be, found it funny. They thought he was such an idiot; they actually thought they could get away with doing it to him. Until; one day the man remembered some things from his past lives; and knew for a fact; that he had lived those lives, and what he had done.

I’m not saying that all lessons are bad. Sometimes, lessons that feel like they suck; can teach you something about living, and about life. Maybe the man learned his lesson about what a jerk he had been, and worked to make changes in his life; to be a better person? Maybe!

However, the gig is up. The joke is over. The man knows that he had lived; and died those lives; and doesn’t appreciate the malice that people have shown, to discredit his name. He was made to feel like a stranger in his own world; where he was more well known, than many in the world.

And the fates, smiled upon him; because the man proved that he was no fool, and had woken up to the facts about his past lives; and he kept his mouth shut, and silently laughed; at how the fates had shown him a lesson; that only an immortal would find funny. The world is what we make it; and the man learned that he wanted a kinder world; and a lot less pain in the world.

However, the fates had maneuvered things in such a way; that no one would listen to the mans advice, and the world was a mess. That is when, the man remembered the button on the outside of the container; to reset the whole world, and universe; to factory settings.

The sad part about it; was that the mans past lives, would all be nothing. For that matter, everyone who ever lived, everything about their lives would be forgotten. The world would be reset to the stone ages, and a new factory defaults would be the new normal. The man would have to find new ways to make the good things that he had done, possible; without doing the harms in the world; that he had done the first time.

Something that I didn’t mention:

The man was able to make a backup of all of his past work. Everything from all of those hundred past lives that he had lived; he saved all of that work. The new world; wouldn’t know the difference; or who had created the work. They would just know; that the work existed. The human race, would be kind again, and the work would remain intact; however the lives that the man had lived where he had been unkind to people to make the things that he did make happen; would be completely forgotten.

What I’m trying to say is this: The finished products will be in the new world. How they were created; or what went into producing them, will become myth and legend. People will know that they have cool products that work like they should; and will have entertainment; and stuff that makes their lives better. What they won’t know; is the man who built them. It will remain a mystery.

And when this happens, the man will be loved, and respected again. Because he won’t tell them what was his work. It will remain a mystery. The benefit will be that we will have cool stuff; and the problems the man created in the world while trying to produce those things; will be forgotten by the whole human race. The human race will benefit from the work the man did; while doing what he did, against impossible odds.

Waiting for the punch line?

A new world is coming; however, we will have the benefits of two thousand years of living; much sooner than expected. The universe will be reset to factory defaults; and the work will remain intact; but the people who made it; will remain myths and legends. And in the new world, no one will believe what had to be done, to make that work possible.

They will just know that they have entertainment, and enough stories to be comforting to them. And they will have neat products; that no one will know how they were created; or who built them.
