Listen Well — Poem
Listen Well — Poem
A poem of advice

listen well
in the event, you are young;
live your life, and savor it.
before your fifty, i say fifty;
your sex unit will go out on you,
and your vision will dim,
and you’ll have your teeth ripped out of your skull.
in the event, you are young,
and some pretty girl takes an interest in you;
take her up on it.
because when you turn fifty,
a woman in her shoes, at that age,
will do nothing but look at you in scorn,
they will look at you in disgust
you get the opportunity when your young,
to dance with pretty ladies,
take them up on it.
in the event you find a woman that will give herself to you
willingly; savor that.
don’t rape them, do not take what isn’t given freely.
however, you find a lady that will give herself to you;
it’s your lucky day; and when your old, those opportunities,
will be gone.
savor your youth, because fifty knocks at your door.
when you are too old, and broken; to even live.
then you will know what your youth was worth.
