A Story About Two Desks

My Other Desk

The Problem:

Sometimes, things are best when neat and clean. I have two desks. And, as a result one of them; is a mess. How big of a mess, remains to be seen.

The AI art in the above photo is for illustration purposes only. However, in the event I took a picture; I’m not sure how the two would compare. Maybe i need to do some work?

Looking at my other desk, i see a big mess. There are receipts from buying ••••••, that go back a few months worth. And I won’t go into the details about the other stuff.

There are unopened letters, dating back to January. Things that don’t matter much. The way things are, no one really complains that I don’t open the mail. They don’t know, one way or the other.

My other desk, is really pretty neat. It's kept clean, and mostly free from dust and debris. The one I’m working on now. That desk is pretty clean. My desk that serves as the catch all, is not as neat.

There is the computer, that serves as a print station. That computer, is powered off right now. It’s an old junky system, that is only good because it will connect to my printer still.

The way things are, in a few more months; I will collect everything on this desk; and either throw away the dross, or file the unopened letters into a shoe box, that will collect dust for five or six years. Until someday the shredder comes out, and all that useless paper work gets run through the paper shredder.

It is kind of funny. There is a coffee cup, which had five inches of coffee left in the cup; which has evaporated until there is only a thin layer of what remains to be coffee left. It hasn’t gown mold yet. That is odd. It’s only been there, going on four weeks.

Really I should do some cleaning. I’m not sure, when I will be able to find the time for those kinds of things. I’m really very busy. You wouldn’t understand just how busy I really am. If you knew, you would have someone clean the mess up for me. Alas, such is life.

Hi There!
